A few of our most frequently asked questions are answered below, please do not hesitate to contact us if there is anything else we can help you with.
Q. Where is the nearest Hospital?
Braemar Village has a doctors surgery and Pharmacy, the nearest Hospital is in Aboyne for minor injuries and Aberdeen for A&E.
If you need non-emergency medical advice while you are on site and it is out of office hours, call 111. If it is an emergency call 999.
Q. What time can I arrive and when do I need to depart?
Caravan and Camping pitches: Arrival time is from 1pm until 6pm. Arrivals between 6pm and 8pm can be arranged at the time of booking, and departure is 12noon.
Camping pods: Arrival time is from 3pm and departure time is 10am.
Q. What is the tv reception like?
TV reception is weak across the site. Some pitches have better reception than others due to the surrounding mountains. A stronger TV reception can be picked up with a satellite.
Q. Do you have wi-fi?
Wifi is available on the park for a small charge, supplied by Camping Connect. The wifi signal is only suitable for general browsing and emails, and is not strong enough for streaming, gaming or catch up TV.
Q. Do you have seasonal pitches?
Yes we do, we offer winter season pitches and summer season pitches subject to availability. Please enquire at reception for more information.
Q. Do you accept dogs?
Yes, we love dogs and you are more than welcome to bring your 4 legged family members with you. We do ask that you keep your dogs on a lead at all times when on the park, and you clean up after their mess. We have a small woodland walk on site and we can advise of the many beautiful walks around the site and surrounding area.
Dogs are welcome in the Camping pods, at a cost of £5 per dog per night, and a Maximum of 3 dogs.
Q. Do you open in the winter?
Yes, we are open throughout the winter and have facilities specially designed for the winter season including a drying room, boot room and ski lockers. We close for a few weeks from the end of October until early December.
Q. Do you have a play area?
We have a small play area with a climbing frame and swings.
There is a larger play area within Braemar village, please ask at reception for directions.
Q. Do you allow BBQs?
Yes we allow metal BBQ’s, they must be raised off the ground and off the gravel. If you need bricks to raise your BBQ off the ground, please ask at reception.
